Wawa Dam and Eco Park in Montalban Rizal

I've been in Wawa Dam for the fourth time already and the last three was few years back starting in 2013 where I made my first blog.

http://www.johnmadrigal.net/2013/11/exploring-rizal-wawa-dam-in-rodriguez.html

Time have changed though since I put up my own YouTube channel so what I did was to go back to the place I have visited and make some VLOG. What happened though is shoot some videos and one of them is Wawa Dam and Eco Park.

Here's my vlog about Wawa Dam which I did last March, a day before the lockdown due to Covid-19 virus pandemic.

Cainta's Sumbingtik Festival 2019

I had a chance to see the Sumbingtik Festival in Cainta last November 29 and 30. But actually, the grand fiesta happens December 1 every year.  Sumbingtik is a combination of suman, bibingka and latik and they came up with the words sumbingtik.  I didn't know that these kakanin started in Cainta before Antipolo had these and they sourced it out in Cainta.

Here's my vlog about the highlights of the fiesta. Please subscribe to my channel. Thanks.

Highlights of Angono Higantes Festival 2019

I had a chance to witness the Higantes Festival in Angono in separate days a few weeks back and it started from the Itik Cooking Contest, then the Itik Eating Contest, Higantes Marathon.  It was a indeed a colorful festival. Then came the bisperas where I witnessed the parade on November 22, 2019.  It rained though, but it was worth watching for. Here is the video:

Side Trip: Dagupan to Calasiao in Pangasinan

The other day I went to Dagupan and to a nearby town called Calasiao. It was just only a 15-20 minutes ride going to Calasiao from downtown in Dagupan.

Calasiao is popular in their "puto" and they call it Calasiao puto. It is a small town and you can also find the red church called St. Peter and St. Paul Church.

The plaza is a hub for some of the vendors selling puto and other kakanin.

Please watch my video.

Araneta Center Cubao: The Center Is Now A City

The Araneta Center in Cubao used to be dark and usually all stores and restaurants closed at 9pm during those old days and it's not quite safe if you stay late at night.

But time has changed and you'll get to see BPO companies operating at night, fast foods like
Wendy's, KFC, Mcdonalds, etc are 24 hours open.  With Manhattan Gardens, hotels and newly built buildings, the center that used to be dark is now full of lights.

It has evolved a lot.  The center is now officially a city. A city within a city, and that is Araneta City!

Here's my vlog to watch to unleashed the beauty of Araneta City.

1919 Grand Cafe at Juan Luna in Intramuros

Not long ago I went vlogging in Intramuros, Manila. I found a cafe somewhere at Juan Luna St so I decided to make a vlog about this cafe.

Love the ambience of this place, it's big.  It's an old building and was built during the 1940's and throughout the years of its existence they keep on renovating the building.  It's one of the historical landmark in Intramuros.  It used to be an HSBC building.

Please watch my vlog about 1919 Grand Cafe:
